Q: When are tryouts?
A: The first two weeks in the pool all swimmers will be evaluated for the team.
Q: What if my child is a new swimmer?
A: First week of in water training, Coaches will work with Novice/New Swimmers from 3:00 – 4:00 pm to prepare them for official team tryout on that Friday. Focus will be on freestyle/backstroke to help them achieve requirement of swimming 25 yard lap. Swimmer must be able to swim 25 yards (1 lap) of very basic freestyle, backstroke or combination of both to be on the team.
Q: Do I have to pay the full membership dues if I am not sure my child will make the team?
A: If your child is new to swimming and you are unsure if they can make it across the pool unassisted, you may pay the insurance amount of $50.75. This amount must be paid before your child may practice and is non refundable. After first week of in the water practice, new swimmers will be tested on first Friday of in the water. If they pass and make the team, the remaining $65.00 of membership dues will be due.

A: Ages 5-18. Swimmers race within age groups (8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18)
Q: What are the fees?
A: $65 for all swimmers. Plus $100 Lap-a-Thon fundraising commitment per swimmer. See registration form for exact fees.
Q: What is a Work Bond?
A: We will collect a $50.00 payment (check or cash) at the time of registration. The bond of $50.00 covers all sibling swimmers. You may not include cousins or friends under your bond. Checks will be held until season end and will only be cashed if the 10 hours of volunteer time has not been completed. Each family is responsible for giving at least 10 hours of volunteer time. A list of approved volunteer jobs will be available on team website, at registration & will be available at the pool during practices. Timing will not be a qualifying event for hours worked.
Q: Is the team suit required?
A: Team suits are required for competitions.
Q: Are fees refundable?
A: Once a swimmer begins practices, dues are non-refundable. The Work Bond is refundable as described above.
